Stephen H. Zwick, AIA, NCARB, FCSI Stephen's late mother Rosemary Zwick was an artist of some renown whose work has been included in exhibits at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Smithsonian, the Walker, the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Indianapolis Museum of Art as well as in many other museums. Consequently Stephen was immersed in the art world practicality as soon as he left the womb and got back from the hospital, especially since his mother was also an avid collector of art from all around the world. Prior to deciding on a career in architecture, Stephen had also considered a career in Applied Chemistry. After doing research on the spectral characteristics of fluorescing dyes at the University of Iowa, Stephen decided that he instead wanted to pursue a career that was artistic as well as technical. In all of Stephen's designs for Ztecture, because of his unique upbringing and education, Stephen balances the intuitive creative design elements with the practical and functional technical components to seamlessly integrate form and function begging the question which came first. As principal of Ztecture,PC, Stephen provides design leadership to the firm. His intimate knowledge of the restaurant industry is brought to each assignment. He is a hands-on principal who can be found on site during construction checking the smallest detail. His knowledge and love of art and color are apparent in his eye-catching designs.
